Creative Zen Vision

There are two type of the Creative Zen Vision, the M and the W. Both have exactly the same features and both come in 30 or 60GB. The only difference being the screen orientation, which mean the W screen is landscape and therefore slightly larger and the M has a far squarer screen

The Creative Zen Vision is Creative Labs' latest addition to their fantastic line of portable media players. This particular portable media player has a 30GB memory will hold songs and pictures and will play videos. The Creative Zen Vision has won the Red Dot Design Award" for Zen Vision's superior quality of design and the Creative Zen Vision’s lightweight pocket-size. Creative Lab then went on to win, November 2005,"100 Best Gadgets of 2005" for a personal video player

The Zen Vision has won a lot awards, because of many factors but the most obvious of which is it has the ability to let you enjoy 120 hours of movie watching, based on its 500Kbps MPEG4-SP formats. It is available in a 30GB model which enables its owner to download over 15,000 songs and a vast amount of photos, about one thousand. The recorder allows the user to tape their favorite songs live with the FM radio or their favorite talk show, plus being able to tape personal memos, lectures, or discussions, which is especially useful for College or University student. The Vision has the ability to support many video formats. Some are the AVI, DivXTM 4 & 53, XviD4, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG4-SP, WMV9 and Motion-JPEG

Many reviews say that it is the best-designed product in the Portable Media Player category, because one its available colour, as well as in magnesium black, it comes in the white magnesium case with a soft Pearle scent finish, and the controls are blue backlit. One slight draw back is that it was not design for multiply viewer, also along with other product the screen is too reflective which makes viewing less enjoyable

On of the big questions still remaining is, how does it compare to an iPod? The major difference is that its iPod equivalent focus on music and claims to provide the best quality of sound where as the Creative Zen Vision is an all-round performer. Also battery life comes into play, this has been a problem for all MP3 manufacturers but Creative Lab seem to be making progress, although it only offers 13 hours to the iPod’s 20 it now has a Li-ion battery pack which doubles the battery life. This Battery pack is a removable, rechargeable and lightweight extension to the Creative Zen Vision, which is with out a doubt well worth the money
